Government Contractor Leases 20,000-SF Building

HOUSTON-Rod Robertson Enterprises Inc. of San Antonio inks a medium-term lease to get its first holding bin in the region for property seized by the Drug Enforcement Administration. The firm will turn on lights in July in the Airline Drive building.

HOUSTON-With a new government contract in hand, Rod Robertson Enterprises Inc. has leased a 20,000-sf industrial building for its first location in the Greater Houston area. The San Antonio-based company, which houses seized property for the Drug Enforcement Administration, signed a medium-term lease for a freestanding structure in the near north submarket.

“The company works with the government in several other Texas cities and was just awarded the contract for Houston,” says Travis Land, an associate with NAI Houston. The government contractor plans to move into 3901 Airline Dr. in early July.

Land says the 1960s-vintage building, which is part of a five-building complex, has been vacant nearly two years. It was on the market for roughly $3 per sf.
