42 Condos In Works With Two Multifamily Deals

CHICAGO-A 13,000-sf mixed-use building at 1919 N. Sheffield Ave. sells for $1.9 million to a converter eying eight Lincoln Park units there while a 34-unit property at 1618 W. Wallen Ave. in Rogers Park commands $1.7 million.

CHICAGO-Two North Side multifamily and mixed-use buildings have been sold to condominium converters. The separate deals will add 42 units in the Lincoln Park and Rogers Park neighborhoods.

A 13,000-sf mixed-use building at 1919 N. Sheffield Ave. has been sold for $1.9 million, according to property records, to a local developer who plans to create eight units. The building has 8,000 sf of office space on the first two floors, topped by a 5,000-sf unit. “The prime location in Lincoln Park and large floor plates made this asset very attractive for condo conversion,” says Millennium Properties, Inc. executive vice president Susan B. Silver, who co-brokered the deal with associate Greg Block.
