WIXOM, MI-A Farmington Hills beauty product firm plans to build a $15 million, 170,000-sf warehouse and distribution center in Wixom. The Nailco Group plans to build the center to give the company more room for expansion, said Larry Gaynor, president and CEO.

Nailco has about 400 employees and plans to add about 100 more as part of the expansion. The new center will front Interstate 96 between Wixom and Milford roads. Nailco currently uses part of its 120,000-sf Farmington Hills headquarters for distribution, along with a 65,000-sf distribution center in Wixom it built a few years ago.

David Giltner, associate broker for Southfield-based Signature Associates-Oncor International, worked on the land deal on behalf of Nailco. Signature also is seeking a buyer for Nailco's smaller distribution center. It will continue to use warehouse space at the Farmington Hills building at Haggerty Road north of Nine Mile Road, Gaynor says.
