Work Begins on 135,000-SF BTS for Mary Kay

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL-The cosmetics direct seller is getting an office and distribution building in the Prairie Stone Business Park built by First Industrial Realty Trust, Inc., which will own the property.

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL-Mary Kay Inc. is getting a 135,000-sf build-to-suit office and distribution building in the Prairie Stone Business Park here. First Industrial Realty Trust, Inc. broke ground Tuesday on the new distribution center, expected to be completed early next year, in the business park along the Northwest Tollway at Route 59.

First Industrial Realty Trust built an 87,500-sf building for Mary Kay in Harrisburg, PA for $8.1 million. Based on that project, the Prairie Stone Business Park building is likely to cost about $13 million.
