The new tenants include Regis, Amish Home Gallery, New York & Co., Omaha Steaks and a local retailer based in Woodbury called Blissful Bath. With room for more than 60 shops and restaurants, 44 have already committed to the project, the developers say.Last year, Opus and RED edged out Robert Muir & Co. for their new retail center.
Among the other tenants already committed to the project are: Archiver's, Banana Republic, Christopher & Banks, Claddagh Irish Pub, Eddie Bauer, several Gap Inc. stores, J. Jill, Jos. A. Bank, Linens 'n Things, Michael's Arts & Crafts, Salsarita's Fresh Cantina, Sunglass Hut, Talbot's, Trade Secrets, Victoria's Secret. Omaha Steaks, Salsarita's Fresh Cantina, a fresh-Mex fast food restaurant, and Z Gallerie, a home décor store, are all new to the Minnesota retail marketplace.
The developers say Woodbury Lakes will offer a "Main Street" shopping atmosphere replete with "quaint cobblestone sidewalks," while also allowing shoppers to visit a variety of shops from national retailers to niche boutiques, and to dine at a variety of restaurants.
Opus and RED previously collaborated to develop The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove, MN, which was Minnesota's first retail lifestyle center. Opus is also developing the Fountains of Arbor Lakes, an 800,000-sf project with Lowe's, Costco and Marshalls as anchor tenants. That project is expected to open next summer.
