REDMOND, WA-Microvision Inc. has leased about 67,000 sf at the Redmond East Business Campus. The Microvision lease, which commences early next year, leaves about 165,000 sf available for lease, according to officespace.com.CarrAmerica owns, directly or through joint ventures, 26 million sf of office space in 288 properties. Redmond East Business Campus is near Redmond Town Center and adjacent to the 640-acre Marymoor Park, which borders the Sammamish River. Al Hodge, Chris Langer and Paul Jerue of Broderick Group represented CarrAmerica. Brian Kelly and Eric Lonergan of Washington Partners represented Microvision. Lonergan tells GlobeSt.com that Microvision is relocating from Schnitzer North Creek in Bothell. Microvision’s lease there runs our in April 2006, which is about when they plan to move to Redmond. A portion of Microvision’s first floor space in Bothell was already being sublet by its sister company, publicly traded Lumera. When Microvision moves out, Lonergan says Lumera will take over the rest of that first-floor space in a direct deal with Schnitzer Northwest.
