In addition to being elected to a two-year term as president of IBEE, Koehler was also recently awarded IBEE's "No Boundaries" Award for "innovation and vision in developing association services." Koehler has been president of the 3,700-member CAM since 2003.
"CAM has long stressed the need for strong communication links within the construction industry," Koehler says. "The information we gain through networking with IBEE, and other industry groups, helps our association stay at the forefront of providing services to its members."
Koehler first joined the CAM in 1987 as a reporter for its Construction Project News publication and has been promoted to through the CAM ranks until being named president in June 2003 to succeed the late Curt Hacias.
