Spa Operator Reserves 7,500 SF in Woodlands Marriott

THE WOODLANDS, TX-Urban Retreat taps first-floor retail space for its first suburban location outside Loop 610. The operator, with three spas in the Galleria area, plans to open in October in the 12-story, 345-room Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel.

THE WOODLANDS, TX-Urban Retreat, a day spa operator with three locations in the Galleria area, has chosen the Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel for its first suburban location outside Loop 610. The 16-year-old operator has signed a long-term lease for 7,500 sf of street-level retail space.

The 12-story, 345-room hotel, which opened in December 2002, has 20,000 sf of retail space. The roster includes Starbucks and an Italian restaurant.
