NEW YORK CITY-Women’s apparel retailer Cache posted a 5% year-over-year same-store sales increase during its second quarter, which ended July 2, as well a net sales jump of 7.9%, to $67 million. The results prompted executives to boost the company’s net sales guidance for the entire year to between $271 million and $275 million from the previous target of $268 million to $272 million.

Cache currently operates 298 units, and executives plan to have a total of 315 stores by year-end. Between openings and remodels, they sale capital expenditures will fall from $15 million to $16 million this year.
