The space is on the top six floors of the 38-story, 850,000-sf building, where availability is down to 2%. Although terms were not disclosed, recent published asking net lease rates at NBC Tower are $21 per sf, which would put the value of deal at more than $40 million. However, in addition to a law library, the new deal with Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione includes a lunch room for attorneys and staff, an exercise room with men's and women's changing facilities.
A CB Richard Ellis team of David Justh, Todd Lippman, Bill Rogers and James Whalen represented Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione in negotiations with Patrick Kiefer and Jeff Samaras of another major NBC Tower tenant, Cushman & Wakefield, which represented the limited partnership that bought the building in 1999.
