ProLogis Lands 430,000-SF BTS Tenant

GUANGZHOU, CHINA-Shenzhen ST-Anda Logistics Co. Ltd. taps the publicly held developer of distribution facilities worldwide for the development of two facilities here totaling more than 430,000 sf.

GUANGZHOU, CHINA-ProLogis of Denver is developing two facilities here totaling 430,000 sf for Shenzhen ST-Anda Logistics Co. Ltd., one of the largest third-party logistics providers in China. ProLogis, a publicly held developer of distribution facilities worldwide, says it will develop the preleased facilities as the first phase of an eventual 1.25-million-sf distribution center. ProLogis acquired the land for the development through ProLogis Park Yunpu Development Co., Ltd., a 100% ProLogis-owned entity known as a Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise. The park will be built out in four phases. “When we initiated the Guangzhou distribution center project in 2002, we were not able to locate and secure the right parcel of land…,” says ST-Anda GM Loi Kum Sai. “Subsequently, ProLogis has been working with us… .”

ST-Anda is a subsidiary of the Singapore-based SembCorp Logistics, one of Asia’s leading integrated logistics companies. ProLogis owns 311 million sf in 2,043 distribution facilities owned in North America, Europe and Asia.
