In his new position, Browne will oversee the overall operation, administration and growth of the Facilities Management service line. In addition to supporting existing accounts, his team supports the client development process and manages the transition of new Facilities Management business throughout the world. Browne worked for CBRE during the mid-1990s as an account executive, responsible for supporting the operations of the company's Midwest-based facilities management clients including Carlson, Dow Chemical and Marathon Oil.

"Recruiting is a key element in maintaining our position as the best Facilities Management provider in the real estate industry," says Steven Swerdlow, CBRE's president of Global Corporate Services. The recruitment focus will be in the areas of Facilities Management expertise, including engineering, environmental, health and safety, critical systems, quality, strategic sourcing/procurement, call center, space management and general operations. Over the next few years, CBRE expects to grow the staffing in excess of 30% to 40% to support its growth in the FM business.
