Behringer Harvard Pays $57M for One Financial Plaza

MINNEAPOLIS-Zeller sells the 27-story, 393,902-sf tower at 120 S. Sixth St. Behringer Harvard recently bought Lawson Commons in Downtown St. Paul and has four office buildings in the Twin Cities.

MINNEAPOLIS-Behringer Harvard has bought One Financial Plaza, a major office building in Downtown, for $57.15 million, excluding closing costs. Located at 120 S. Sixth St., the 27-story, 393,902-sf tower is situated on 1.4 acres at the center of the central business district. The major tenants at One Financial Plaza include Deloitte & Touche and Cargill, and a variety of other companies, many of which provide a range of professional services.

The seller was Zeller Realty Group, a privately held company based in Chicago. Behringer Harvard, a real estate investment trust based in the Dallas area, retained Zeller to manage One Financial Plaza.

“One Financial Plaza provided us with an attractive opportunity to acquire a stabilized asset in the vibrant central business district of Minneapolis,” says Robert Behringer, the chairman and chief executive officer of Behringer Harvard.
