Financial terms of the lease agreement between Aon and building owner Multi-Employer Property Trust have not been disclosed. Trammell Crow, which developed 500 E. Pratt St. on behalf of the owner and represented the company, markets space in the building for $32 to $34 per sf. CB Richard Ellis spoke for Aon after having assisted the company in its search for a new space.
Aon's current lease around the corner in the Candler Building at 111 Market Pl. is scheduled to expire next year. The company has been in that site for 15 years and occupies approximately 70,000 sf of space there. An Aon spokesperson tells GlobeSt.com that the smaller office space on Pratt St. will be more a more efficient arrangement than the current setup. Aon is scheduled to relocate to its new offices in February of 2006.
