The renewal for 1155 Dairy Ashford Rd. is "in excess of three years," according to Mark H. Wood, senior vice president of Henry S. Miller Commercial's Houston office. Wood represented the tenant in the deal while Lee Jeane from Trammell Crow Co.'s local office represented 1155 Dairy Ashford Road Investors LP, owners of the 179,956-sf building.
Griffin & Matthews has occupied the space for 10 years.
Though White declined to discuss the actual specifics of the deal, he did say that in terms of competitive lease rates in the area, which average $20.82 per sf. "It was south of the last lease," he says, "and they got a great deal." Some perks of the lease included minor renovations of the space including repainting, new carpet and wall paper.
