The move into the former Verizon call center at 8160 S. Hardy Dr. will allow MicroAge to double in size, according to Kit Tiedermann, senior vice president in Phoenix for CB Richard Ellis Inc. MicroAge will vacate 1330 W. Southern Ave.

Tiedermann and Dave Barrett, also with CBRE, represented MicroAge. Dave Seeger and Karsten Petersen with Trammell Crow Co.'s local office structured the deal for building owner, Gateway Montrose Inc. in Phoenix.

"The negotiation was pretty prompt," Tiedermann tells GlobeSt.com. "It took about 30 days." He adds that, while MicroAge did seek out other properties as well, the deciding factor in this one was "the parking, the location and the overall quality of the space." The quality was such, he continues, that there was not much really needed in the way of office build-out or improvement. "There wasn't really a great deal needed in terms of renovation of the space," he says. "The space really suits them well." MicroAge will take move into the building in early fall.
