California Pizza Kitchen is looking for space for its 6,000-sf restaurants in and around the Twin Cities. The company will soon be introducing its new fast/casual concept in additional, high-traffic locations.
Russ McGinty, a Madison Marquette senior vice president, will be responsible for the account, which includes the entire state of Minnesota. McGinty, who works out of the Washington, DC-based firm's Minneapolis office, calls California Pizza Kitchen "a restaurant concept that is a proven success."
The firm is still early in the search process. "No sites have yet been identified," says Jeff Ingram of Madison Marquette. California Pizza Kitchen has three restaurants in the Twin Cities already--at Southdale Center in Edina and the Shoppes at Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove, and a location at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. The chain operates, licenses or franchises 184 restaurants, of which 152 are company-owned and 32 operate under franchise or license agreements.
