MORROW, GA-With an estimated permanent population of only 5,000, this suburban city, 13 miles south of Downtown Atlanta, has big growth plans over the next five to seven years, elected officials in the 2.9-square-mile municipality confirm.

Morrow has purchased several Interstate 75 South parcels totaling 45 acres adjoining the one-million-sf Southlake Mall. The city plans to break ground in first quarter 2006 on a $12-million, 30,000-sf National Museum of Commercial Aviation; a 70,000-sf indoor ice skating rink; 10 restaurants; a dinner theater, hotels, condominiums and a $3-million, mile-long lighted riverwalk around a portion of Jester’s Creek.
