Apparel Company Signs on for 16,500 SF

NEW YORK CITY-Bentex Group Inc. signed a 10-year, 16,500-sf lease at the Children’s Wear Center at 34 W. 33rd St. The company relocated from a smaller space at 100 W. 33rd St.

Although terms of the lease were undisclosed, asking rents were $32 per sf. David Levy and David Menaged of Adams & Co. represented both the tenant and landlord.

The children’s and infants apparel and accessories company manufactures playwear, swimwear, sleepwear and outerwear. In addition to its own brands, the company’s licenses include Winnie the Pooh, Spiderman and Thomas & Friends. “The Fashion District specialty buildings each are known for their particular niche,” says Levy. Bentex joins children’s wear companies at 34 West 33rd Street including Fishman and Tobin, Catton Bros, Baby Fair, My Boy Sam, among others.
