The other stores are in Clio, Flint Township and White Lake Township. The union says stores would remain open at least 30 days. The news came shortly after union members rejected a contract amendment request offer from Farmer Jack. The amendment, which would have cut wages by about 10%, was designed to help Farmer Jack's parent company sell the chain to another company.
A&P is <A HREF=""> attempting to sell its Farmer Jack chain in Michigan and Northern Ohio. It is expected to close additional stores in the future, though no exact list has been made public.
