Window Manufacturer Inks One-Year Lease

CHANDLER, AZ-Tacoma, WA-based Milgard Manufacturing Inc. has signed a one-year, 101,456-sf lease at the Chandler Technology Center for its Phoenix division. The $550,000 lease provides Milgard with temporary quarters while it awaits completion of a build-to-suit in the Westech Corporate Center, which is also in Chandler.

Milgard, which is relocating from 860 W. Carver Rd., will use the temporary location for both manufacturing and distribution of windows. “This was a short-term solution to their real estate space needs while the current facility is being constructed,” says Jeff Conrad, a principal with Lee & Associates Arizona in Phoenix, who represented the tenant in the deal. Bruce Calfee with Grubb & Ellis/BRE Commercial LLC’s Phoenix office negotiated on behalf of the local building owner, Johnson Grove Partnership.
