The eight-year-old building at 31203 Highway 90 was on the market for 55 cents per sf, gross. "We got it just below the ask price," says Travis Land, an associate with NAI Houston.
Land and John Ferruzzo, also with NAI Houston, brokered the deal on behalf of the property owner, Houston real estate investors Hoffman Glass Family Ltd. Alumitec, which had been located at 4618 Lawton Bend Lane, represented itself in the transaction.
Land tells GlobeSt.com that the company, which manufactures aluminum and copper siding for stadiums, sports arenas and other venues across the country, relocated to expand. He adds that MSI Crane & Equipment Co., a supplier of cranes, hoists and similar products, had occupied the space prior to the transaction, and Alumitec accepted the space as is, with no renovations.
