Printer Signs 9,499-SF Pact for Seventh Metro Location

HOUSTON-Specialty printer Ridgway's Ltd. makes a six-year commitment for a Midtown office building along Smith Street. When talks end, the printer gets a rate close to the $19 per sf quote and some concessions. The new shop opens in 30 days.

HOUSTON-Ridgway’s Ltd. a local company known for specialty reproduction of paperwork like architectural plans and blueprints, has inked a six-year lease for 9,499 sf of office space to get its seventh location in the city.

The new Midtown outlet, at 2900 Smith Street, allows proximity to downtown, as well as customer convenience for pick-up and delivery. “They looked at other properties and found this was a great location for a retail type of service,” says Tom Ford, senior vice president of Henry S. Miller Commercial’s Houston office. He and Rollie Andre, also with Henry S. Miller Commercial, represented Ridgway’s in the transaction while Sherry Rice with CSD Realty Co. in nearby Katy handled talks for the building owner, 2900 Smith Ltd.
