Google to Develop 1M SF at Moffit Field

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA-The locally based Internet search engine company inks a non-binding collaboration agreement with NASA that includes the development of up to one million sf of office and R&D space within the NASA Research Park at Moffett Field.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA-Google and NASA have signed a non-binding agreement to to collaborate on a number of technology-focused research-and-development activities that includes Google developing as much as 1 million sf of corporate office and R&D space within the NASA Research Park at Moffett Field, where NASA’s Ames Research Center is located. The park is a short ways from Google’s headquarters.

The initiative is part of a NASA Ames Research Center’s plan to develop NASA Research Park into a world-class, shared-use educational and R&D campus. As part of a comprehensive plan for the area, new laboratories, offices, classrooms, housing, auditoriums, museums, a training and conference center, open space, parking and limited retail facilities are envisioned.
