Ellis tells GlobeSt.com that the separation from Doug Bean & Associates is an amicable one and that he, Sholian and McInnis will continue to represent its portfolio of clients. Doug Bean was not immediately available Monday morning for comment.

Ellis' clients include Equity Office Properties, Smith Barney and Schnitzer Northwest. The team's current listings total about one million sf and include Umpqua Bank Plaza, Scholl's Business Center, Techpointe Commons and the Round at Beaverton. Pacific Real Estate Partners' client list includes Rreef, Boeing, Bentall and Intracorp on the landlord side and Intel, T-Mobile, Safeco, Well Fargo and the University of Washington on the tenant side.

"I have had the opportunity to do a number of transactions with [Pacific Real Estate Partners] over the past 11 years," Ellis says. "They've got great relationships, I've got some great relationships and we thought this would be a great time to do something."

Ellis says as the local office principal he will have more responsibility than he did at Doug Bean & Associates. He also "definitely" sees himself doing more business, but credits Doug Bean for helping put him in a position to take advantage of the opportunity. "Doug is the best mentor anybody could have asked for," he says.

Pacific Real Estate Partners Inc. was founded in 1992 by Steven Schwartz, William Pollard, Mark Flippo and Stuart Williams. Prior to the opening of the Seattle office, the firm employed 25 and focused its activity exclusively in the Puget Sound marketplace.
