TCC Buys Stake in India Services Firm

MUMBAI, INDIA-Trammell Crow Co. purchases a 30% interest in a full-service property consultancy here with seven offices and an 18-million-sf facilities and property management portfolio that ranks it third in terms of marketshare.

MUMBAI, INDIA-Trammell Crow Co. has acquired a 30% stake in locally headquartered Chesterton Meghraj Property Consultants Pvt Ltd. and a 50% stake in its affiliate, Workplace Management Consultants Pvt Ltd. CMPC provides research, consulting and project management and Workplace Management Consultants Pvt Ltd provides facilities and property management services for all asset types. The company’s dba is now Trammell Crow Meghraj, which is now owned jointly by TCC, Meghraj Properties Ltd. and Sundown Developments Ltd. The financial consideration was not disclosed.

WMC brings to the table a facilities and property management portfolio totaling 18 million sf, which ranks it third behind CB Richard Ellis and IPMF, an India-based firm. CMPC provides ongoing services for another eight million sf of buildings, including call centers, corporate offices, malls, residential complexes, research and design centers, and hospitals. Clientele includes corporations, institutions and governmental organizations, as well as foreign and India retailers. Corporate clients include British Airways, Cadbury, Dell, IBM, Reliance, EDS, John Deere, KPMG, McDonald’s and Pizza Hut.
