Pharmaceutical Firm Relocates to 17,000 SF

ROCKVILLE, MD-Vanda Pharmaceuticals plans to relocate its headquarters to 17,000 sf at 9605 Medical Center Dr., a 116,000-sf office and laboratory facility at the Montgomery County Campus of Johns Hopkins University. The psychiatric drug manufacturer currently houses its headquarters nearby at 9620 Medical Center Dr. in the Shady Grove Life Sciences Center.

Demetri Koutrouvelis and Laurent Myers of Studley represented Vanda. Representing the ownership were Bernie McCarthy and Morgan Sullivan of Spaulding & Slye Colliers, which developed the building in conjunction with New Boston Fund Inc. in 2004 at a cost of about $20 million.
