CBRE Looks to Build Valuation and Advisory Business

SEATTLE-In an effort to grow its valuation and advisory services unit, CB Richard Ellis has hired industry veteran Scott Biethan to head up CBRE's national hotel and hospitality appraisal practice and recruit experienced appraisers in markets throughout the Northwest.

SEATTLE-CB Richard Ellis has attracted 25-year veteran Scott Biethan to head up its Valuation & Advisory Services in the Northwest. Working out of Seattle as a senior managing director, Biethan will head up CBRE’s national hotel and hospitality appraisal practice while also being responsible for recruiting experienced appraisers throughout the Northwest.

The new position is part of CBRE’s effort to expand its valuation capabilities in the Northwest, which includes Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska. With Biethan, CBRE says it will be able to better serve its national clients that have requirements in the region.

“(This) is the first step in our plan to build a valuation capability in the Northwest that is equal to our operations in the rest of the country,” says Douglas Haney, president of CBRE’s Valuation & Advisory Services.
