According to MHG officials, JBG won the job because of its numerous real estate contacts and because the retail property leasing and development company has its own sizeable portfolio of shopping centers. "We were attracted to the synergy of a one-stop shop," says Stephen Gayula, MHG Group president.
The spaces JBG is seeking will feature room for outdoor seating at mini-malls and mixed-use sites. There are currently six Greenberry's stores; three in Virginia and three others in North Carolina, Florida and Houston.
