Shelley worked out of San Francisco for Morgan Stanley Real Estate Advisors. She was responsible for commercial real estate investing activity in the Western US. Prior to that, Shelley was a senior acquisition officer for Lend Lease Real Estate Investments.
Capstone Partners managing principal and founder Chris Nelson says that along with a wealth of experience, Shelley brings "market knowledge and relationships in each of our core markets."
Since joining Lend Lease in 1998, Shelley has closed more than $1 billion of real estate transactions for various pension fund, REIT and private fund clients. Her transaction experience includes all property types and covers the range of investment risk profiles, from ground-up development and asset repositioning joint ventures, to fully leased core properties.
Shelley began her real estate career as a commercial appraiser in Reno, where she grew up. After obtaining her MAI designation, she joined Cushman & Wakefield's Valuation Advisory Services Group, first in San Francisco and later in the New York headquarters.
Established in 2002, Capstone Partners' clients and investment partners include Key Bank Real Estate Capital, NBS Real Estate Capital, Rreef Funds and Washington Capital Management. Capstone invests, develops and advises its clients and partners in industrial, office, medical/life sciences, retail and multifamily.
