Two Firms Extend Leases on Madison Ave.

NEW YORK CITY-Holtzbrinck Publishers has signed on for space at two Madison Avenue addresses for two of its companies. Scientific American Inc. renewed its 31,000-sf lease at 415 Madison Ave. College publishers Bedford Freeman & Worth renewed its lease on just more than 28,000 sf at 41 Madison.

Robert L. Freedman, president and CEO, Leon Manoff, executive managing director, and Marvin Rosenberg, managing director of GVA Williams represented the tenants in both transactions. Rudin Management Co. represented itself.

Scientific American has called 415 Madison home for the past 50 years. The magazine, which occupies nearly two and a half floors, inked a 10-year renewal. Space in the site is advertised at $44 per sf.
