The building is owned by Hartz Mountain Industries, which was represented in-house by Ernest Christoph, senior vice president of sales and leasing. Fred Brunswick, senior director at Cushman & Wakefield, brokered the deal for NYK. He has represented the company for 15 years, stretching back to NYK's initial lease for 42,000 sf at the site. Length and financial terms of the lease were not disclosed.
"NYK Line appreciates the location of 300 Lighting Way, close to Manhattan, Newark Airport and the ports,' Brunswick says. "The area offers excellent neighborhood amenities including hotels, shopping and dining."
