$95M Hotel Opens Near Convention Center

WASHINGTON, DC-A new hotel joins the roster of lodging properties near the city's new Convention Center. The Embassy Suites Hotel opens its doors following a two-year construction period. The 384-room cost approximately $95 million to complete.

WASHINGTON, DC-The stable of hotel rooms near the new Washington Convention Center has increased with the completion of the 384-room Embassy Suites Hotel. Developers Farr Curtis Walton and a fund of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades just opened the doors of the facility following an almost exactly two-year construction period.

Hunt Construction Group Inc. headed up the endeavor as general contractor. The project cost approximately $95 million to realize.
