American Brewery is located in East Baltimore at 1701 N. Gay St, about three miles from Johns Hopkins University's Homewood Campus and less than two miles from the Inner Harbor. A landmark architectural facility, the property is currently owned by the City Council and the Office of the Mayor. The original development of the complex was completed in 1887, yielding a 63,000-sf bottling plant and 24,000-sf brewhouse. Once SBER completes the redevelopment process, Humanim will make its home in the smaller building and the other structure will be marketed for lease.
