RICHARDSON, TX-Restaurant company Wingstop is moving its corporate headquarters from Garland to Richardson, where it will occupy 17,559 sf. The new parcel is located at 1101 E. Arapahoe Rd.Gary Slagel, mayor of Richardson, says he is pleased to have landed a new corporate headquarters in his city. "We have had a number of economic development successes recently and are proud to add Wingstop to our list of distinguished corporate residents," Slagel says. "They are continually recognized as a growth leader in the restaurant industry and as one of the leading franchises in the nation."Wingstop is taking the first floor in the Richardson building, which was built in the early 1980s by the Vantage Cos. The multi-tenant building is undergoing a $4 million renovation by RREEF.James Fly, Wingstop's CEO, says 2005 has been an "incredible" year for the company. "We opened our 250th location, hit the $100 million sales milestone, have had nine consecutive quarters of comp store sales increases," Flynn says. "Relocating to the larger, beautifully renovated space in Richardson is an excellent way to help wrap up 2005 and kick off 2006."Wingstop offers restaurants with a nostalgic, aviation-themed atmosphere that focus on chicken wings. The chain features nine proprietary wing flavors.
