Thomas Lynch of Trinity represented Trinity, while Stan Kleger and Eric Granowsky of MHP Commercial acted on behalf of LAC. The lease term is for ten years. No other leasing information was released.
LAC occupied 6,000 sf at 147 Waverly Place. According to Jason Pizer, Trinity's director of commercial real estate leasing, the firm decided to relocate to the Hudson Square neighborhood due to the area's vibrant environment and proximity to Greenwich Village. "The office space at 225 Varick was ideal for LAC, meeting all of its specific requirements including remaining in the West Village/Hudson Square area."
LAC is the only non-profit law organization in the US to specialize exclusively in legal and policy issues concerning alcohol and drug problems, HIV/AIDS and criminal justice. Trinity Real Estate, which has a history dating back to 1705, has more than six million sf currently under ownership.
