GlobeSt.com UPDATE: Developer Selects Architect for Fan Pier Streetscape

BOSTON-The developer of Fan Pier has named Elkus/Manfredi Architects Ltd. of Boston to design the ground-level layout and streetscape of a nine-block area along a harbor marina. Joseph Fallon also named five other architectural firms as finalists in the multi-million dollar waterfront development project. For previous coverage, click here .

Among those names were Robert AM Stern Architects of New York City and CBT/Childs Bertman Tseckares Inc. of Boston, who will compete to develop the project’s residential component. In the running to be named designer of an office tower are Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP of Chicago and Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates PC and Brennan Beer Gorman Architects, both of New York City. The architects were among about 30 who applied to be part of the project.
