Originally opened in 1931, the 16-story hotel is located in the University District, two blocks from the University of Washington. As one of the few high-rise buildings in the district, it offers 360-degree views. Amenities include a fitness center, 5,500 sf of meeting space, high-speed Internet access and a full-service restaurant and lounge. The street address is 4507 Brooklyn Ave. NE.

The Best Western flag has been removed and will now be run independently by Noble House Hotels & Resorts, which recently signed the management contract for the property. Noble operates several LaSalle Hotel properties and it owns and operates the Edgewater hotel located on Pier 67.

LaSalle Hotel properties CFO Hans Weger did not return a phone call seeking comment. LaSalle's purchase price includes the assumption of a $10.8-million loan secured by the hotel with a fixed annual interest rate of 6.28%.

LaSalle Hotel Properties focuses on upscale and luxury full-service hotels located in urban, resort and convention markets. It owns interests in 7,700 hotel rooms in 24 hotels in 11 states and DC.
