PORTLAND, OR-Locally based architecture firm Zimmer Gunsul Frasca is designing a 30-story glass-skinned building for the Northwest edge of Downtown to house its headquarters as well as a hotel, apartments and street-level retail. The half-block development site is in large part currently a parking lot that fronts Washington Street between 12th and 13th avenues.

The proposed project would be a joint venture that includes ZGF partners, Gerding Edlen Development Co. and the Goodman family, which owns the property on which the tower would rise. ZGF representatives unveiled the project late last week as part of a preliminary meeting with the city’s design review commission.
