Opened in late 2004, Tamarack is the first major all-season resort to open in the US in the past two decades. It is located at the base of Tamarack Mountain, on the shore of Lake Cascade. The project by Las Vegas-based Agassi Graf Development was first reported on in August 2005, but few details were made available at that time.

The condotel will be located in the resort village and and another 35 private residences will be developed on a mid-mountain parcel, according to Agassi Graf Development LLC. Both properties are scheduled to break ground during the summer of 2006 with completion anticipated in 2008, in conjunction with the completion of Tamarack's village. The development will begin taking reservations in early 2006 with sales expected in late summer 2006.

The village condotel, Belvedere Ridge, will feature views of Tamarack Mountain, Lake Cascade and a golf course. The development will include a private residence club including a European-style spa. The mid-mountain development will be named Whitewater. Amenities will include a personal concierge, a semi-private restaurant and an outdoor deck.

The architect for the developments is Wilson & Assoc., whose portfolio includes the Palace of the Lost City, in South Africa; Las Ventanas al Paraiso, in Cabo San Lucas; and Atlantis Resort at Paradise Island, Bahamas. The Colorado-based architecture firm VAg Inc., which specializes in residential resort architecture, is collaborating on the design.
