Jamie Moreno of Fort Worth snagged the land at 3101 S. Cravens Rd. for $107,158, from its 18-month owner, Johnson Properties LLC of Centennial, CO, says Greg Morris with Dunn Commercial LP in Arlington. He tells GlobeSt.com that Moreno will break ground as soon as a permit's issued for an industrial building that will be used for office, storage and distribution of stone. The building's size is still being determined, according to Morris.
Morris says Moreno, owner of Moreno Stone Works in nearby Hurst, was the only one to bid on the land during the past year of marketing. "It's just off the beaten path," the deal's sole broker explains. The seller acquired the acreage along with a five-building warehouse development along Loop 820 in mid-2004 in a take-it-all scenario.
