The Fortune 500 company is consolidating two sales offices in Trizec Properties Inc.'s twin 685,000-sf office buildings at 10 and 120 S. Riverside Plaza, the latter becoming CDW Tower.

"We spent more than a year looking at a number of alternatives for bringing our growing Downtown coworkers together in a single location," says chairman and chief executive officer John A. Edwardson. "Ultimately, the location of our current offices can't be beat and we decided that consolidating in one of these great buildings made the most sense."

Besides overlooking the Chicago River, 10 and 120 S. Riverside Plaza are above Union Station and across Madison Street from Metra's other major commuter rail terminal, the Ogilvie Transportation Center.

CB Richard Ellis senior vice presidents Lisa Konieczka and Cal Wessman represented CDW Corp. in negotiations with Trizec Properties Inc.'s Nancy Fendley.

At 80.8%, occupancy at 120 S. Riverside Plaza was the lowest in Trizec Properties' Chicago portfolio. However, the consolidation shifts that distinction to 10 S. Riverside Plaza, where vacancy is 19.9%.
