Vail Moving Forward on Ritz-Carlton Residences

VAIL, CO-Vail Resorts, through one of its subsidiaries, shells out $3.3 million for prime land. The six-acre site located at Forest and South Frontage roads is the former home of a Vail Amoco service station.

VAIL, CO-Vail Resorts, through one of its subsidiaries, paid $3.3 million for a six-acre site that formerly housed the Vail Amoco service station at Forest and South Frontage roads. The service station closed so work can begin on Vail Resort’s redevelopment in what as known as LionsHead in the heart of the ski village.

The company says by acquiring the service station site, it will be able to more fully utilize a six-acre site that houses the current Vail Vehicle Maintenance Shop and the recently acquired Vail Professional Building. The LionsHead redevelopment also encompasses the Arrabelle and Gore Creek Place projects currently under construction and the recently announced plans for the Ritz-Carlton Residences, Vail. The fractional ownership Ritz-Carlton will have 108 units.
