CAROL STREAM, IL-Geneva-based Peacock Engineering Co. has leased the entire 360,000-sf warehouse and distribution in the Carol Stream Corporate Center originally built for WebVan in a deal worth about $18 million. San Francisco-based Bristol Group bought the vacant building at 720 Center Ave. last April for $16.5 million, or $46 per sf.

"Peacock Engineering is exactly the type of tenant we envisioned when we acquired the property earlier this year," says Dave Williams Bristol Group's Chicago-based director of acquisitions and leasing. The food packaging firm gets a building with air-conditioned warehouse space and high loading docks, near existing company locations and clients.

Bristol Group and Peacock Engineering began negotiating a lease deal in early fall after the new owner made improvements to the property. Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler senior vice president Jeffrey J. Kapcheck handled negotiations for Bristol Group while James B. Planey and Jeffrey J. Janda of Lee & Associates represented Peacock Engineering Co.
