The 336-room hotel, carrying a $75-million development price tag for owner the JBG Cos., brings to a close the development of the one-million-sf mixed-use Arlington Gateway property. The lodging facility is the centerpiece of the WDG Architecture-designed complex. It also features the 411-unit the Continental at Ballston condominium building with ground-level retail, the 325,000-sf Arlington Gateway office facility, consisting of class A office space and 18,000 sf of retail offerings, and a 200,000-sf parking facility.

Clark Construction Group Inc. served as the general contractor on all three components; WDG served as the designer on the entire complex, as well. The hotel marks the debut of the Westin Hotels & Resorts brand in the State of Virginia and will officially open its doors to guests on March 1.

Located at 801 N. Glebe Rd. the Westin Arlington sits off Interstate 66 in the Ballston submarket. The 15-story structure encompasses 238,700 sf and offers an aggregate 10,000 sf of meeting space in 12 rooms, a business center, a fitness facility, a restaurant and a Starbucks.
