Consulting Firm Inks 56,000-SF Deal

NEW YORK CITY-Huron Consulting Group signed a 10-year deal for approximately 56,000 sf at 700,000-sf 1120 Ave. of the Americas, also known as the Hippodrome Building. The firm will relocate from its 29,000-sf offices at 1301 Ave. of the Americas.

Huron was represented by Peter Riguardi, president, Lisa Kiell, managing director, and Douglas Neye, vice president, all with Jones Lang LaSalle’s New York office. The owner of the building, 1120 Avenue of the Americas LLC, was represented by Michael Burgio, John Cefaly, Gus Field and Michael Gambino with Cushman & Wakefield Inc. Huron wanted larger offices in a building nearby its current offices “for the convenience of its employees and to be close to its clients,” explains Kiell. “The company chose to move to the Hippodrome Building because it offers an ideal location, the ability to house all Huron employees on one floor, and recent improvements.” Additional leasing details were not released, though asking rents at the site are in the “low $60s” per sf, according to JLL officials.
