In his new role, Sexton serves as liaison between US-based companies and Knight Frank professionals. Sexton is also now "the primary contact within the partnership for international real estate services and will assist both European and Asian companies in managing their real estate needs as they relate to their global business objectives," according to the partnership.
"Newmark Knight Frank will be a truly integrated global partnership with an exchange of best practices, global branding, co-investment in Asia-Pacific and the joint pursuit of new business," Sexton explains in a statement. "The new partnership will provide a consistent, seamless service to our clients across five continents."
Seeds for the new partnership were planted in September after Knight Frank and Grubb & Ellis parted ways. At the time, Grubb & Ellis CEO Mark Rose cited "gaps" in the service coverage beyond transactions that were inconsistent with the Grubb model as reasons for the split, as GlobeSt.com reported. In turn, Newmark revealed that it would fill the void left by Grubb.
Prior to his new role, Sexton was global liaison for Grubb & Ellis and Knight Frank's five-year alliance. He also headed the Knight Frank transaction team in Poland and helped open three other offices in the country, according to the partnership. He also previously worked for Richard Ellis in the Greater London market.
Locally headquartered Newmark Knight Frank and London-based partner Knight Frank operate from more than 140 offices in established and emerging property markets on five continents. Last year, transactions were valued at more than $41 billion with annual revenues of over $545 million.
On the local front, Suzy A. Reingold has moved from CB Richard Ellis to Cushman & Wakefield, where she has been named executive managing director for its New York City offices. Reporting to New York region COO Joseph R. Harbert, Reingold will essentially replace Ken Krasnow, managing the firm's 180 brokers Midtown and Downtown. Krasnow left C&W in December to direct brokerage services for Trammell Crow.
Before joining C&W, Reingold was senior managing director, New York Tri-State Region and US Brokerage, for CBRE.
