More Than Two Dozen Tenants Take Space at Navy Yard

BROOKLYN, NY-More than two dozen small businesses find homes at the Brooklyn Navy Yard here. The deals represent more than 113,000 sf of space. The Yard's 3.5 million sf of space is currently 98% leased

BROOKLYN, NY-More than 113,000 sf of new leases or renewals are inked at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Twenty-six small businesses took space at the city’s largest, single-landlord industrial park. Managed by the nonprofit Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corp., the 300-acre site has approximately 3.5 million sf of space.

“The Brooklyn Navy Yard is one of the few locations in New York City that can provide small industrial businesses with ample space and opportunities to flourish,” explains Andrew Kimball, BNYDC president. He adds that investments in the area promote job growth and business expansion. “Significantly, approximately half of the workers employed at the Brooklyn Navy Yard are residents of Brooklyn.”
