Located in the city's central business district, 1602 L St. NW is being designed by WDG Architecture. With 6,000-sf floor plates, it will be marketed as a perfect locale for small and medium-size businesses seeking class A space in the District.

"This is a boutique building with extraordinary design features--its signature will be built around premium materials and exquisite detailing, rather than sheer size," says Eric J. Liebmann, principal-in-charge of the project for WDG Architecture. According to a 2005 report compiled by Washington, DC's Downtown Business Improvement District, the cost of the project is $18 million.
