MELROSE PARK, IL-Mecalux USA now has 364,221 sf at 1600 N. 25th Ave., having signed a renewal that expanded their space by 83,435 sf. The seven-year-old, 458,620-sf crane facility built in 1999 is now 100% leased, as Craven Candy also is a tenant.

Although terms were not disclosed, the 83,435 sf was being marketed at $4.95 per sf. Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler Inc. senior vice presidents Keith S. Stauber and Steven A. Kohn handled negotiations for the owner, Orie National LLC.

Vacancy for warehouse space in the western Cook County suburbs was most recently 6.9%, according to Delta Associates and Transwestern Commercial Services, including sublease space.

With six manufacturing plants and 61 sales offices in 14 countries, Mecalux is using its only US facility to grow its storage products business in North America.
